I took a few more iphone photos while I was in Nepal that I wanted to share. We went to a place called Bhaktapur the day after we returned from the Khumbu. Bhaktapur is a well-preserved ancient city just outside of Kathmandu. It is home to the Newa people, one of the largest ethnic groups in the Kathmandu Valley. The town is known for its intricate architecture and art, both of which appear untainted by modern ways of living. Winding our way through labyrinth of passageways, we marveled at the woodworkers, stone carvers, painters, and potters; who did everything by hand, slowly and carefully.
